About Solana

Solana is a high-throughput layer-1 blockchain launched in 2020, known for fast, low-fee transactions and a busy ecosystem of DeFi apps, memecoins and consumer apps. SOL is used to pay fees and to stake.

As one of the most actively traded large caps, SOL tends to react strongly to Bitcoin's direction and to shifts in risk appetite. When a read calls a SOL move counter-trend, it usually means the lower timeframe disagrees with the daily or weekly structure, or with BTC.

Solana orders transactions with a timekeeping method called proof of history, alongside proof of stake. The network had several outages in 2021 and 2022, so network news can still move SOL sharply. Intraday SOL charts can sweep a recent high or low before choosing a direction, which is why the reads separate a wick through a level from a close beyond it.

How to use these reads

Each read follows the same checklist: the trend on that timeframe, how it lines up with the daily and weekly charts, where the liquidity sits, the key levels, and the close that would invalidate the idea. How Finora reads a chart explains each step.

Start with the timeframe you actually trade. If its bias disagrees with the higher timeframes, the read will usually call the move counter-trend and ask for confirmation first. Treat every level here as a note from the moment it was written, then check the live chart before you act.
