About Ethereum

Ethereum is the network behind most smart contracts, DeFi protocols and NFTs; ETH pays for transactions on it. It launched in 2015 and moved from proof of work to proof of stake in September 2022, an upgrade known as the Merge.

ETH often moves with Bitcoin but can lead or lag it, so Finora's ETH reads compare its own structure with the BTC trend and with the daily and weekly charts. Its perpetual futures are among the most traded in crypto, which is why sweeps of equal highs and lows show up often on intraday ETH charts.

Since the London upgrade in August 2021, part of every Ethereum transaction fee is burned, and since the Merge new ETH goes to stakers instead of miners. ETH also trades against Bitcoin as the ETHBTC pair on major exchanges; you can ask for a read of that pair like any other symbol to see whether Ethereum is leading or lagging BTC.

How to use these reads

Each read follows the same checklist: the trend on that timeframe, how it lines up with the daily and weekly charts, where the liquidity sits, the key levels, and the close that would invalidate the idea. How Finora reads a chart explains each step.

Start with the timeframe you actually trade. If its bias disagrees with the higher timeframes, the read will usually call the move counter-trend and ask for confirmation first. Treat every level here as a note from the moment it was written, then check the live chart before you act.

Educational content, not financial advice. These reads are AI-generated, can be wrong and may be out of date by the time you see them. Trading involves risk; you make your own decisions.
